It was great to see everyone at the Villa Hills Civic Club yesterday! I was very honored to be chosen to be guest speaker at the event and was excited for the new inductees.
Brandon and I will be inducted next month... We look forward to it!

Just a shout out for a couple of ATY'ers that I have heard made commitments to colleges:
Doug Teegardnen - EKU
Leiff Clarkson -WKU
and once again congrats to Ryle's Caleb Lonkard who is vying for a spot on NKU Norse squad and Boone County's Jackson Lauman who has signed with Atlanta Braves.

Wow, 10 years! It is hard to believe my idea to bring a baseball training center to Northern Kentucky has not only become a reality but something that people really believed in. I am super excited and proud to say that ATY has grown up and has solidified its position as the premiere baseball training facility in Northern Kentucky. We have grown and taken shape with the addition of former Major Leaguer Brandon Berger taken over the hitting and becoming the BEST hitting instructor in the area…

As a former Giants player I have had quite a few people comment about the Giants and their entry into the World Series. I think they want me to hoot and holler…?
When I get those comments I am not really sure how to react. I currently work
for the Brewers organization, I grew up a Reds fan in Reds country and I was a
Giant in the mid 90's. So it makes me ask the question what drives your
loyalty, your affinity for a sports team.
For me…

I have a question about balking. Saturday I was pitching in a game and there was a runner on 3rd and a runner on 1st.
I was pitching from the stretch. I lifted my leg and stepped to 3rd to fake a throw, then I spun around to 1st. The runner was heading to 2nd, so I threw him out. The umpire called a balk on me. He said I had to step off the rubber before going to 1st, but I thought a fake throw to 3rd is stepping off the rubber.
I saw it in a college game on tv where the pitcher faked to 3rd and 1st, but I don't know if his foot was off the rubber to begin with.
Can you tell me how to do that double move without balking?
thanks, I hope your team is winning alot!
Evan
